Worshipping God
May 12, 2004

Today is a special day for our family. It is my dad’s 80th birthday and he truly has been a blessing as an earthly father. That is why I can worship my heavenly Father because he has been so good to me.

God the Father is worthy of all my worship. I do not want my eyes to be taken from worshipping the One true God. Even though this life may have its difficulties I never want to give my worship to any other being except God the Father.

Why would I worship God with such passion?

First: he gave me life. The very breath I take is from him. I couldn’t even share my heart with you if it wasn’t for God.

Second: he showed me himself from the time I was a little girl. Little did I know someday I would receive him into my heart.

Third: he has taught me in his Word how to have a life of joy with him. There are many more reasons why I worship God but this page could not contain all the reasons I worship him.

Think on this: when you are alone and you’re seeking him in quiet time, do you worship him? How? I sometimes dance for my Lord in my house while doing housework, I will sing to him with my cd’s playing or even in prayer. When I drive my car I lift my eyes to the hills and worship him. At church I seek him in worship with everything in me.

Read Isaiah 6:1-13 (especially 1-8) this is one of my favorite parts of scripture. Isaiah is in a worship time with his God. As he is in the spirit God reveals himself to Isaiah in a vision. He sees God high and lifted up on his throne and his robe fills the temple. Picture that in your mind, God’s righteousness filled the temple. Around our God is seraphim and they are crying, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.” Yet, Isaiah as he is witnessing this sees God’s holiness and cries out: “Woe is me! For I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.” Isaiah whole being is exposed from God’s holiness and he recognizes how unclean he is. Then as Isaiah is experiencing God in a profound way, he hears the voice of God. God says: “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.”

WOW! Is that a worship experience? What I desire to hear is my Lord instructions on what I must do to serve him. I want my worship to be one that changes me every time I enter his presence. I want my worship of God to be life changing. When I worship my Lord may me face show I have entered his most holy of holies.

I want to worship God with all my being. I pray you will read Isaiah’s wonderful life changing experience and that it will challenge you into a deeper worship with your God.

Father, we worship you with all our hearts, all our souls, and all our minds. Fill us with you and may we tell others of your holiness and how you can transform them daily. Help us to worship you in every aspect of our lives. Father you are worthy of all our worship and may we glorify you in everything we say and do. Thank you Father for being the God of all creation. Thank you for our salvation. Thank you for freeing us from sin.
Thank you Lord that we can freely worship you the One True God.
In Jesus Name,
AMEN
