Who
Me?
August 18, 2004
Going back to when I received Jesus Christ is a great reminder
that God has called me by name. When I think of that moment
in Bro. Bray’s home I still can see me on my knee’s
praying to ask Jesus into my heart. Yes, even though it has
been several years, I can still see it in my heart and mind.
Even when I went back home with Dad we drove by the church
and the parsonage where I leaped in faith and I shared with
my family that is where God changed my life.
Now as time has gone by I have
come to the realization that God not only called me by name
but he had a purpose for me to accomplish in this life. Yet,
I didn’t realize that purpose until I started my journey
in His Word and through prayer.
Who me? I have often said that
when God was going to take me down a road of adventure. Yes,
the road of testing, trial, and fun. Fun? That is when I was
seeking his will for what he desired for my life. And finally
after seeking why I had so many passions in my heart he showed
me exactly what he had sought me to do as his child.
Ever wondered why God
called you? I am sure you do and will probably ask again?
Who me?

“Now faith is the substance
of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
Hebrews 11:1
“Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed
by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not
made of things which do appear.” Hebrew 11:3
Why would God entrust us with
his great message? Why would he show us and reveal to us how
he formed the worlds? Even though we haven’t seen him
we testify of him, how?
“But the Comforter, which
is the Holy Ghost; whom the Father will send in my name; He
shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance,
whatsoever I have said unto you.” John 14:26
Just think we don’t depend
on our wisdom but God has sent us his Holy Spirit to show
us, reveal to us, instruct us, love us, comfort us, and guide
us in our walk with Him.
Now when we say “who me”
we understand more and more that God chose us specifically
and he will show us the way in which we should go.
When you are wondering about what
Lord is the reason you called me by name just pray and seek
his will and he will show you the way. Yes, being called by
God is a humbling experience for we do not deserve so rich
an inheritance.
Father, I may not understand all
that you have in store for me but this I know Lord is: what
you have began in me you will complete. I thank you Lord though
I feel unworthy that you would use such a person like me to
proclaim thy name and share thy word. Lord, continue to work
in me daily as I grow up into the person you would have me
be. Thank you Lord for your gift of the Holy Spirit who instructs
me, draws me, and shows me thy will. Thank you Lord for your
gift. AMEN
