Lesson 4

Philippians 4:6-7. Why don't you take this moment to look it u and meditate on it.

What are the things in your life that you struggle
with that make you long for those still waters.? I struggle with plain old me. God is showing me not to worry for I cannot do a thing about some of the issues in life that face me. I cannot blame anyone for how I am or the actions I take. Daily I have to fill my mind with Jesus and how he can give me peace. I desire to work but for some reason God has other plans for me. I just want peace to know I am where He wants me to be.

Read Philippians 4:8-9 What do you need to change? Daily I need to put my life in his hands. I need to seek truth, seek being the child he would have me be, praise him for his love, praise him for his guidance. I realize I can dwell on his majesty, honor, glory, and working in my life.

Jesus thank you so much for the peace you bring into my daily life. Thank you for you love and how you bring my mind to the things worthy of being thought about. Thank you for my armor that protects me from things unworthy of thinking about. In Jesus Name. AMEN

Lesson 5

1st Kings 18: 23-46 Read this if you can.

Read Chapter 19. What do you learn? For every victory satan is right there to rob God of His glory. Evil is always right behind when God's children are rejoicing in victory. Satan want's to steal God's thunder. Elijah new he had revealed the one true God over all the priests who believed in Baal. Elijah feared the wicked Jezebel as she sought out a death warrant for him. Elijah instead of remembering God showing himself in Carmel, ran in fear and wished he could die. But God in his mercy sent an angel to him and told him to get up and eat two times. Then Elijah went to Horeb and entered a cave to hide from wicked Jezebel. God spoke to him and instructed him to crawl out of his cave and go to the wilderness of Damascus. Elijah obeyed God to appoint Elisha as his successor.

Have you ever been cast down after a victory? Oh yes. I have had great disappointment when victory came because satan was right there to steal my joy. It took one negative attitude and I would get depressed. I know now when God gives a victory expect a negative behind it. I know the evil one wants to rob me of rejoicing in God my Savior.

Have you felt cast down when falling away from the Lord? I do not like being in the wilderness. I do feel cast out totally. Even though the journey is of my own making when I return to the Lord I feel so very alone. It takes more faith to recognize God is there and I just have to trust he is with me.

How did God right you....turn you around God showed me the sin in my life and the attitudes I had to surrender to him. He just showed me in the Word and in my misery what I must do.

Hebrews 10: 24-25 Its important to stay in fellowship with God's household of faith. Being a part of the church I am responsible to encourage, love, care, and share with my fellow sisters and brothers.

Psalm 19:17 this verse does not exist..... But God says his Word is perfect and restores the soul. His Word makes us grow up in Him.

Why don't you say a pray to Our Shepherd and
thank Him for all He has done to restore you. Dear Lord thank you for restoring my soul and showing me a more perfect way to live. You have done so much and I cannot thank you enough. Thank you for your Word that teaches me how to live to please and serve you. You are truly trustworthy above all. Thank you Lord for being my shepherd and keeping me safely in your pasture. In Jesus Name AMEN
