If this devotion isn’t the most appropriate one for myself than I am not typing this today. Hope is that wonderful source of all hope, the Lord God Almighty. Hope is that confident expectation that no matter what happens our lives are in God’s hands.

Several weeks ago my dad was diagnosed with cancer. Now I have to admit these are the steps that were lived out in my life.
First: numbness;
Second: crying;
Third: fear;
Fourth: desperation;
Fifth: hope.

Right now I am claiming many promises of God which show me how to hope in my God who supply’s all needs. I know without any doubt I will revisit many of these feelings but one truth remains God is the source of all hope.

“Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.” Psalm 16:9
“And now, Lord, what wait I for? My hope is in thee.” Psalm 39:7

I know my God is with us and he will take us into his most holy place of protection and assurance of his divine love. WOW! God is hope.

“That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible to God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us. Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which entereth into that within the veil.” Hebrews 6:18-19

**I rest on his unchanging grace and reach to touch my Savior’s face. I hold onto the faith which he imparted and his hope is engraved on my heart. I cry at times because of love, but know my God hears from above. Our names are written on his palms and so my God we offer all our alms.

We are not alone when going through the testing of our faith. You are probably just like us and have traveled the road of uncertainty. But isn’t that what life is all about: uncertainties? Yet, those very uncertainties can be nailed to the cross and put in Jesus hands of hope.

He gives us a reason to hope, he showed us the reason to hope, and he lives to give us hope. JESUS IS OUR HOPE…

I do not know what tomorrow holds for any of us but we can rest assured our God has our tomorrows in his hands. We can run to him and place our lives in his nail scarred hand. Today if you have uncertainties and are troubled by life’s outlook, JESUS is right there with you and he can be trusted to hold and keep you.

Thank you Lord for the hope we have in you. Thank you Lord for loving us when we are weak. Thank you for strengthening our feeble knees. Thank you for showing us the way to hope. Thank you Lord for sending Jesus the only hope for all mankind.
