“Sweet Freedom”
July 4, 2004

I love being free and feeling free in my life. One of the biggest blessings is that I have is no constrictions or limitations. Now you are going to ask yourself: “how can she say that?”

It is simple and when you think of what Christ Jesus did on the cross it’s exactly what I have been given. Sweet freedom to be used by my Savior and to bring glory and honor to his name.

A step further is that I can worship him, praise him, carry my Bible, pray to him, talk about him, and love him. When I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior and asked him to be Lord of my life that is exactly what I got. “Sweet Freedom”

Jesus came in the world to save sinners:

“Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.” Matthew 10:8

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32

“If the Son shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” John 8:36

Being free in Christ Jesus is a choice we make when God gently calls us into his kingdom. He woo’s us with such a sweet voice and he never forces us to receive his gift of salvation. But when we say yes Lord to your will and way, what freedom we inherit. In the world we live in an inheritance is received after a person passes away and that is exactly what we receive because Jesus Christ died and rose again so we could receive eternal life.

I feel very blessed because Freedom rings in the country I was born in. Yes, we lack much but what a blessing to be able to still live in a free country. I do pray we will join united as his people and make a change to keep America a place where God is honored.

“Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you.” 2 Thessalonians 3:1

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA AND LET FREEDOM RING…

Liberty is the ability to speak, discuss, hash out, write, and vote. It is freedom to pursue goals and dreams. America, America, God shed his grace on thee, and crown thy good with brotherhood, from sea to shining sea.

As a citizen in the USA thank God for the freedom that was birthed here by our forefathers who loved God and literally gave him first place. Pray that God will again be in our government and homes. Ask God to give us courage to stand up for righteousness sake. Let freedom ring…..

Thank you Lord for your continuing protection and may we never forget those who lost their lives to protect our freedom. Continue to be with the families who lost loved ones...
