Jesus is our Christmas

Here we go on our way to celebrate Christmas with loved ones and each other. It's a time we reach out beyond ourselves with smiles and good tidings to one another.

We get the tree out, gather the ornaments, string the lights, and decorate till we are exhausted.

Then we get our lists together and shop till we drop.

We make elaborate plans to prepare the meal of the year.

After all is done, we sit up late at night wrapping gifts and even getting them all mixed up. Who's is this and who is that for?

Sounds pretty stressful doesn't it even though we know the real reason for Christmas.

We even wait in expectation hoping those caroler's will drop by and sing to us so our spirit's will calm down and rest.

"And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men." Luke 2:13-14

Imagine working out in the fields at night attending your flocks and hearing such joyful singing. "And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us." Luke 2:15

"And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger." Luke 2:16

"The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them." Luke 2:20

I pray your Christmas will be one in which you will share what Christmas means to you. I pray that Jesus the Son of God will bless your homes and bring His blessings into your homes.
