This month I have shared about
friendship the positive and negative. But I saved the best
for the last on these devotional thoughts on friendship.
The one and only friend that
is totally trustworthy and can be depended on is: JESUS CHRIST.
Imagine the Son who came down from his abode with the Father
in heaven to live among us and finally to give himself so
we could be saved from our sins. And to top it off He arose
to give us eternal life.

Now this is the friend of
all friends.
Just think of it:
When you are down > run to Jesus
When you are sick > run to Jesus
When you are broken > run to Jesus
When you sin > run to Jesus
When you are criticized > run to Jesus
When you are slandered against > run to Jesus
When you have been lied about > run to Jesus
When you have been abused > run to Jesus
When you have been ridiculed > run to Jesus
When you have been hurt or harmed > run to Jesus
When someone gossips to you > run to Jesus
When you want to gossip > run to Jesus
When you are suffering > run to Jesus
When you are lonely > run to Jesus
When you are happy > run to Jesus
When you have been blessed > run to Jesus
When you have been forgiven > praise Jesus
When you have been shown truth > praise Jesus
When you feel like praising the Lord > praise Jesus
When you feel like singing a new song > sing to Jesus
When you feel empty > be filled with Jesus
When all friends forsake you > run to Jesus your one true
friend
When life hands you lemons > tell it to Jesus
When people confuse you > tell it to Jesus
When the church disappoints you > tell it to Jesus
When you broken > let Jesus fix you
When someone broke your heart > let Jesus mend it
When you are about to give up > tell it to Jesus and rise
and be healed
When you have lost love > let Jesus fill you with love
When your anxious > let Jesus give you peace
When you are rough around the edges > let Jesus give you
gentleness
When you are short with your temper > let Jesus give you
temperance
When you don’t listen > talk to Jesus and be ready
to hear what he says
When your afraid > claim the Word of God
When your family is breaking up > trust the Lord and pray
hard
Jesus the name above all names
and he is here to be trusted and leaned upon. If you are like
me you want someone who listens and then guides you in what
is right for your life. Jesus Christ is that person and I
assure you to be without him is futile.
“Shout To The Lord”
is one of my favorite songs. That is exactly what Jesus Christ
is all about. Mountains bow down before their creator. Seas
roar at his overwhelming power. His work all around us is
why we can safely trust him.

“I am the good shepherd,
and know my sheep, an am known of mine.” John 9:14
“I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his
life for the sheep.” John 9:11
“I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall
never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.”
John 6:35
“I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall
not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
John 8:12
“I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall
be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.”
John 10:9
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.”
John 15:1
Jesus is the great
I AM.
So we can know he is the greatest
friend to man.
Lord Jesus thank you so much
for being my one true friend, though life can hand me lemons
you remain faithful through it all. Though life sends me sadness
you are my joy. Though life fills me with anxieties you are
my peace. Thank you Jesus for being faithful and true. Thank
you no matter what time of day I am in you are there always
for no man is able to pluck me from thy hands. Thank you Jesus
for salvation. In Jesus Name AMEN.
