Psalm 15
August 19, 2005
Love for serving God is such a blessing from above. But I too have to examine
my heart testing if my heart is right with God. As a Sunday School teacher
at my home church I always look within my heart to see if anything could
keep me from sharing God’s truths.
During the week I start my lesson and study background passages and the
lesson to be presented that Sunday. As God shows me or gives me understanding
into the scripture, many times I find my life needs some daily washing or
cleansing by the Holy Spirit. Teaching the Word of God is a serious matter
when He empowers us with the gift to teach. I can admit that I am held accountable
for every word that comes out of my mouth and I personally take that serious.
There have been many times when I knew my flesh spoke and I would cry out
to God saying, I am sorry Lord, forgive me.
When you look at your life, are their things you do that don’t line
up with what you believe or share? Especially with your children or family,
do you tell them to obey here and yet you disobey in the same matter? As
a child of God whether you raise a family or not, God has specific instructions
as we teach or nurture those we are appointed to help.
How can we abide in God’s holy presence if we are living like a wild
animal? God shows us in His Word the way we can dwell in His presence.
“Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? Who shall dwell in thy holy
hill? He that walketh uprightly and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the
truth in his heart,” Psalm 15:2
We have to walk right, work right, and speak truth in every aspect of our
lives. I don’t know about you but I tend to make it harder than it
really is. God has given me specific instructions and all I have to do is
obey! You can enter in God’s presence and remain there. The key is
obedience to God’s will and ways. Ask yourself right now, Lord is there
something in my life blocking me form entering into thy presence, if so Lord
show me the way so I can be free to enter into they arms.
Run to the wonderful throne of grace and receive mercy, I do and God restores
me totally. I pray you will start this day by entering into the presence
of the mighty God of the universe. Bask in His love, take in His mercy, and
give what He has given to you.
I guarantee you shall not be moved from that place called Holy.
Lord God I pray for the person who reads these thoughts. I ask that you
call them to be holy and set apart for your kingdom. I pray you become their
eternal resting place where no matter what they face today; they can find
peace and a source of help throughout their day. Thank you Lord for allowing
me to enter thy presence. In Jesus Name AMEN
Mammy
