Psalm 14

August 12, 2005

Isn’t it interesting as you read newspapers or watch news on television that you experience and see the foolishness of men or women daily? I know God is trying to speak to our world and reveal to us how foolish we act and how we treat his creation with such utter disrespect. Even through that disrespect we refuse to repent and turn from our wickedness.

How many times has God of heaven revealed to the world through wars, poverty, famine, and death that he desires to bring us into His kingdom to be light’s. Yes, that radiance of Jesus that reflects God’s love and mercy.

David wrote this knowing the world in which he lived in was filled with unbelief in God his Savior. He was not afraid to call unbelief and rejection of the God of Israel for what it was.

“The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.” Psalm 1:1 What a strong pronouncement on the earth and its inhabitants during the days of David. We too live in a day filled with corruption, horrendous crimes against children; it’s almost as if goodness is non-existent. We as God’s children know goodness is around but it is often hidden under a bushel.

Do you wonder as God looks down, is He seeing anything good on earth? God does look down and we know this by what the scripture says. “The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.” Psalm 14:2

Examine your heart and when God looks down on you, does He see Jesus or your flesh sinning against Him? Do you find yourself wandering daily trying to find a safe place? Do you fear God?

“There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.” Psalm 14:5

There is a first step you can make in this life so that when God does look down on you He can see Jesus reflection. No longer will you be taken captive by the world ways. Yes, you can be brought back into rightness with God. How?

A simple prayer: Lord Jesus I have sinned against you by going after the ungodly things of this world. I ask that you forgive me and I never want to return to those ways. I understand that you give freedom to my soul if I just believe in your Son. So Lord I ask thee to come into my heart and make me a brand new person. I believe and receive the gift of salvation. AMEN

If you prayed this pray and received Jesus you are now part of the generation of righteous children of God.

Please email me so I can pray for you and help you to find a place that you can grow in your new found faith.

Mammy knows Jesus loves you. God bless you this very day and may he reign down mercy and grace on you.
