Guilty but There Is Hope

Today as I was teaching the women God has entrusted me to help grow closer to our Lord, I was so touched by their ability to share and encourage one another.

As I observed their interacting with each other, I could see Christ Jesus in all of their words, actions, and thoughts.

I am blessed! To be called by God to lead women is such a high calling to me personally. All my life I have wondered my worth? Questioned why I am here? And most of all, desired to please God as I grow older.

As in the days of the prophet Micah, our world is depressed and being held captive by satan! He has not stopped his destructive work in the lives of humanity. When we look out our windows, we do witness life is suffering in every direction. As we watch TV we are filled with man’s state of sinfulness. Destruction is all around us and the sad part if we are honest with ourselves: we brought this on ourselves.

Yet, amid all this and facing the truth about depravity and sins entrapment , THERE IS HOPE!

All we have to do is: turn from our sin, confess up to God, ask His forgiveness, and be totally renewed or saved. Yes, even we children of God need to be renewed daily! We cannot exist without the power of God working in us and through us. Just like in Micah’s days: we either choose whom we will worship and serve or go on the way our world is going, a collision course to total depravity.

If you are like me, your faith is the most valuable “gem” you have. To live in this world without faith is like trying to swim in a pool without water…you will get nowhere.

In Micah here is the promise I will hold to: “But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.” Micah 7:7

Yes, I say that because Jesus is coming back and I realize it may be sooner then I imagine. But I will live my life to love the Lord, serve my Lord, draw close to my Lord, and live for my Lord. Will you join me?

Even though our world is in a state of hopelessness we can start fresh and new this day and choose whom we will serve…watch for…hope in…and wait on!

Lord Jesus help us all to be living witnesses for you and live lives that honor and glorify you until you return to take us home once and for all. Thank you Lord for you promises to give us hope, to know you hear us, and for being Our God and Savior. AMEN

For my broken heart...mammy
