July 2007 That's Why We Praise Him
Read Psalm 108 Oh, if only I had in me what King David has to recite a song before our Lord. Whether he was rejoicing or running from harm he knew how to give noble praises to God. This year at our church we had our annual celebration of being an independent country founded on the principal's and directions from the One True God. I cannot help but praise God at this time of year for we celebrate our freedom in our country but its more than that ... we celebrate our blessed freedom given to us by the blood of Jesus Christ. As our church goes into a new phase ... my heart is praising God for the years in the past whether they be bad or good...I can see God was working all the time and that's why I praise Him with my whole heart. And the rockets red glare ... yes ... satan is always ready to pounce upon us seeking to devour what God has laid before ... and the wonderful thing is ... he already lost this fight ... that's why I praise Him. The bombs bursting in air ... when all is peaceful and joy is reigning in our lives ... satan sneaks up on us and tries to stir the waters of peace ... but our Master is right there filling us with living water so we are able to withstand the blast of evil in our world ... that's why I praise Him. Gave proof through the night ... that our God is still there ... He is Sovereign and no matter what happens He is in control ... that's why I praise Him. Oh, say can I praise Him ... forever and forever ... Yes as David has sung in many Psalms ... Praise Him all ye people ... praise Him ... for Our God is our Shield and God is our Mighty Defender... My heart is praising God for His mercy truly endures forever... Today, can you find a part in your heart to praise Him ... I did and I will continually sing praises upon my lips. Yes, that's why we praise Him!
