Read Genesis 1:6-13
- What is firmament? List as many (versions descriptions of firmament)…What
was its purpose?
- In Verse 6 what is the condition of the atmosphere then? Picture
in your mind what God is doing here…Describe what He did?
- When God said, what is the next clue we see that He is creator? Verse
7.
- What did God call this firmament?
- This is the first time we are told about time? What are the words to
describe this change?
- On the Third day God again speaks: what specifics are put together in
one place? What appeared after this creative act?
- There is a phrase in Verse 7 & Verse 9 that proves God did this?
What is that phrase? Only those who believe will receive this as
truth…
- What did God call this creative act that divided water and land?
God looks at this act and says what? What do you think of God speaking
this affirmation about creation so far?
- I love looking out and seeing California at this time of year, the
hills are still green to soon turn golden…God brought forth many things
on the earth…list them below…
- God saw that it was good…how does this make you feel to know
God created all things green, fruit bearing, seed bearing, trees for shade,
herbs…Thank God for putting this beauty for us to look and
see His creative hand upon…
- For the second time we are told something about our time…what
is it? How does God describe this change?
Today as you look out your window, look at the trees, the grass, the ground,
the atmosphere…give God praise for giving you more to enjoy and more
to tend and care for…
Remember God’s Spirit hovered over
the face of the waters…Never
forget this …
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the
Word was God.” John 1:1
Imagine: God the Father and God the Son were working together…It’s
so hard for our limited mind to comprehend but I personally think this is
why He is worthy of all our praise.
Imagine God knew you before you were in
your mother’s womb…imagine…Imagine a life growing within
a mother's womb is known by God already...WOW!
Several years ago my children and I went
to a place called Carmel, CA. It is at that time I learned to praise God
for creating the world in which I live and can earnestly see His handiwork.
Even though our world is in turmoil and is going through birth pains to be
delivered from suffering and chaos, I can praise God for He is worthy. He
created our universe in perfection and man chose to disobey. We still as
His children are to tend and care for what He gave us. Are you willing to
continue in this care...family, home, foreigners, hungry? Are you willing
to serve Him in your church...on your job? Are you willing to share your
faith and point others to Jesus? Today is the best time in history to share
your love for our Creator...
